Rigmah®-Lsafety laminated glass

What is Rigmah®-L safety laminated glass?

  • Glass made by inserting polymer material (PVB, EVA, resin) between two glass plates and hardening it with heat and pressure
  • Used for automobile windshields by regulation as it has excellent shock absorption performance and generates no debris even when broken
  • Not widely used in the architectural market because the price is 5-10 times higher than that of conventional glass
  • Expected increase in demand following the legal amendment in 2015 to allow replacement of metal railing in external balconies with non-flammable material (safety laminated glass)

  • It is safe as fragments are not scattered when the glass is broken by external impact.

Security(Security)
  • The glass protects from external attacks, vandalism, and property infringement.
  • No damage from the KS L 2004 Falling Ball Impact Test (1.04 kg steel ball is dropped 6 times from a height of 1.2 m)
UV Control(Solar Control)
  • The glass protects skins and prevents discoloration of furniture by blocking more than 99% of UV.
Noise Isolation Functions(Security)
  • The glass provides a comfortable residential environment by absorbing external noise with an intermediate film.
  • 30% better noise-blocking than conventional glass (25db, KS F 2808 Test measurement)
